Informational tool only
Refund Radar provides general educational information and organizational help. It is not a law firm, financial adviser, claims representative, government agency, payment issuer, travel agent, or dispute-resolution service. Nothing on this site is legal, financial, tax, or professional advice.
No guarantee of eligibility or outcome
A “lead,” “signal,” or suggested next step is not a determination that you are legally entitled to a refund. Eligibility and outcomes depend on the facts, contract terms, merchant policy, payment method, jurisdiction, deadlines, and current law.
You remain responsible
You are responsible for checking the accuracy of your request, meeting deadlines, preserving evidence, choosing what to send, and communicating truthfully. Do not use a sample message without personalizing and verifying it.
Official sources
Where practical, Refund Radar links to government guidance. Rules and agency pages can change. Follow the current instructions on the official source and seek qualified advice when your circumstances require it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to make a false claim, impersonate another person, harass a business or worker, interfere with the service, or violate applicable law. Sample requests are provided only for accurate, good-faith consumer inquiries.
Availability
The site is provided on an “as available” basis. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features without notice. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the site is provided without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Third-party services
Links to agencies, merchants, issuers, and other third parties are provided for convenience. Refund Radar does not control or endorse their services, decisions, availability, or content.
No paid placement in results
Refund Radar is free and, at the time of this version, carries no advertising, sponsorship, or affiliate links anywhere on the site. We do not accept payment to change a recommendation, to label something time-sensitive, or to alter a scan result. If that ever changes, any compensated link will be labelled where it appears, the official free route will be shown first, and no compensated link will be placed inside a scan result, a suggested first route, or a time-sensitive alert.
How guidance is reviewed
Each scanner opportunity and each published guide carries a visible reviewed date, a named review owner, a jurisdiction scope, and either a link to a primary source or an explicit statement of why no primary source applies. Rules and agency pages change; a reviewed date tells you how current our reading was, not that it is current today. Always follow the instructions on the official source itself.
Changes
These terms may be revised as the product changes. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date and version number at the top of this page.
